Gregory J Fahrenbach. MD, received his doctor of medicine degree from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood Illinois. He then attended Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, Graduate School of Medical Education to complete his training in orthopaedic surgery. He immediately entered private practice in Chicago.
He has been the Chairman of the Section of Orthopaedic Surgery at Resurrection Medical, Chicago from 1991-2004 and from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Fahrenbach teaching position Presence Resurrection Medical Center in the Department of Medical Education, for the Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Transitional Residency and Physician Assistant programs. He was appointed to a faculty teaching position at Northwestern University in the Department of Orthopaedic surgery from 1986 to 2009 as a clinical instructor.
He has been certified four times by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been named a Diplomat thru 2027.
He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the Illinois Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The American Medial Association, The Illinois State Medical Society and the Chicago Medical Society.
He maintains special interest in general orthopaedics, treating injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. He practices orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis in: arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery, computer assisted joint replacement, limited incision surgery, conservative back treatment, fractures & trauma, sprains and strains, work injuries and therapeutic rehabilitation.
He is a founding partner in Northwest Orthopaedic Associates, Ltd. and their group practice, Northwest Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
